UAE Minister: Qatar’s discourse lacks traditional Gulf essence
:: The United Arab Emirates’ Minister of State for Foreign Affairs has hit out at what he called a “Qatari discourse void of any essence” known by Gulf traditions.
“The current discourse in Qatar is arrogant and high pitches and void of the Gulf’s essence and traditions. The narrative lacks honesty regarding its (Qatar’s) past and practices and seeks to settle with its own conditions,” Dr. Anwar Gargash wrote as part of a series of Tweets on Tuesday.
“Qatar’s misleading statements are staggering and taking responsibility for their behavior is completely absent and it’s as if the four countries had taken action because the region needed more tension,” he added.
He then went on to say that he found surprising Qatar’s urge in joining the fight against terrorism, sovereignty and non-intervention becoming national priorities.
“Trying to get out of the crisis is hampered by not acknowledging your own harm done to your neighbors and an absence of objectivity leads to the complexity of the crisis in the corridors of complaints. It is a dark path that will not lead to any result,” Gargash wrote.
