Jeddah’s first bagel bar
If you’re a morning person but struggle to find things to do on a weekend morning, a relaxing morning in one of Jeddah’s coffee houses would be a great choice.
One of the Jeddah’s coffee café franchises, Bagel Bar and Coffee House, is a great choice with its Irish breakfast.
It is also Jeddah’s first bagel house.
The family and singles sections make it a great choice either alone with your book or with your family and friends.
The bagel bar café franchise began with a location in Dublin in 2001, as well as other locations in the United Arab Emirates.
Located in Al-Rawdah district opposite King Faisal Specialist hospital on Prince Saud Al Faisal street (formerly Al Rawdah street), the café is open from 7 a.m. until noon each day Friday’s, when it opens after prayers until noon.
Several kinds of bagels and sandwiches are available, including wholemeal and white bread, but the haloumi cheese bagel is apparently quite popular.
The café serves a wide range of coffees that you can add extra flavors to, such as hazelnut or vanilla.
If cold beverages are more your thing, cold coffee and juices are also available.
The cafe also has different kinds of salads as well as several desserts.
Service is good, with employees responding quickly to customers, even on Instagram or via phone.
One of the comments on the café’s Instagram page reads: “thanks. You have an amazing place. I’ll recommend everybody. Keep going and we need more places like you place in my lovely Jeddah.”
Another comment on Instagram said the poster was glad that Jeddah finally had a cafe for Irish coffee and desserts.
However, one of the customers complained that the food that she ate was not fresh: “I just tried the mixed salad with cajun. The salad wasn’t fresh and I really didn’t like it. The waiter offered to replace the order but I didn’t want.”
