Excellence in science awards ceremony to be held in Tabuk
Tabuk Gov. Prince Sultan bin Fahd on Sunday met Mohammed Abdullah Lehaidan, the chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Prince Sultan bin Fahd Award for Scientific Excellence.
The governor was briefed on the preparations for the distribution of the prestigious prize for the 27th year. Education Minister Prince Khaled Al-Faisal will be the key speaker at the distribution ceremony.
After the meeting, Lehaidan explained that the governor discussed the preparations for organizing the award ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 18. “He is keen to make this year’s award ceremony special,” he said.
He added that the Prince Fahd Bin Sultan Award for Scientific Excellence and the direction of the governor is being implemented. During this year’s ceremony, students of colleges and institutes of education will be honored. Also, those excelling in management and supervision, as well as university professors and teachers in the region will be honored.
Award winners of scientific research and innovations will also be announced.
Lehaidan pointed out that the number of winners totaled 90 male students and 85 female students, and the number of honorees from among teachers and workers is 86.
On behalf of the members of the supreme committees and subcommittees of the award, Lehaidan expressed thanks and appreciation to the Tabuk governor for patronizing the award and for his constant and continuous support.
