Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah holds talks with Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas at the King’s Palace in Jeddah on Sunday night. (SPA)

JEDDAH: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah received at his palace in Jeddah yesterday Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

During the meeting, they discussed the current situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in Gaza Strip, as well as the sufferings of the Palestinian people as a result of the ongoing Israeli attacks, said a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Earlier, King Abdullah has issued a directive to donate SR100 million to the Palestinian Health Ministry in view of the shortage of medicine and medical supplies to treat the injured during the Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people in Gaza.

Two weeks ago, the king authorized the donation of SR200 million to the Palestinian Red Crescent to secure medical supplies for the injured.
